Describe your album

Here is what you need to know about me and my music. I make what I think of as craftsman music. By craftsman I mean those people who before life was fully corporatized, did personal work for people based on their unique skill. They built houses, they made clothes, they honed their craft and they made it their own. The things that people got from a craftsman was unique, it was personal, it was theirs. That is the way that I make music and the way that I would hope for people to enjoy it. This album wasn't made in order to get famous or land a record deal. I made it because this is the way my ear wants music to sound and I wanted to share that with my friends and anyone else that cares to listen. I will forgo a description of the style and leave it to you to listen and see what you think.

Thanks for time

this is music without the bits people automatically assume music needs like structure a singer verse chorus verse to fit in a genre to impress to be played here or there ...

you could definitely try to put this in a category but you'd look silly trying, so i will try..

this i would say is how the 'tao' itself would sing

they are all the best tracks

the most disappointing thing is that there are not hundreds more to listen to.

Nice Ambient emotional music. Very creatively mixed. Music has lots of sounds which keep it interesting. Nice production, good panning and well eq'ed. Good complex beats. Best cd I have heard on here so far, well done.

I never heard anything like this neither in free nor in commercial music. What is this? Who is this? It's simply amazing. I don't know how to classify this wonderful intelligently complex and superbly executed music, abstract downtempo perhaps?
Just listen.

Williamson is music like no one else's! The ONLY music which comes close to this would be Global Communication's rework of Chapterhouse Blood Music: "Pentamorous Metamorphosis". I completely forget myself while listening, and I agree with another reviewer, who found themselves forgetting they were listening to music!

Williamson takes your mind elsewhere while listening, whether doing something else (such as computing) at the time or not. I often put my player in 'repeat mode' and the hours just 'go somewhere' while listening!

I couldn't tell anyone how to classify this material, other than awesome! It seems to defy classification. While there is 'structure' it is not in a 'progressive' or 'themed' sense. The music seems to be more like a sequence of 'tonal poems' which not while 'building' ON each other, don't exist entirely independent OF each other. Am I making any sense? No, I didn't think so either.

Just do yourself a HUGE FAVOR, download this! Listen to it while doing something which demands your attention and monitor your 'progress'. You will get more done than you can imagine, and wonder to yourself where the last 4 hours just went! You will find your mind mysteriously 'cleansed' and you will be 'refreshed' as though you had relaxed for the first time in a very LONG time!

I can't recommend this music highly enough!

Definitely some of the best free music I have ever heard. Really amazing, I have been sitting here just listening to some of the stuff over and over.

I would love to use some of this in some of the short films I put together at Streetfilms.org. We are an extremely low budget (three person) group that puts together some of the best short films ever on bike and pedestrian issues and livable cities ideas in the U.S. and the world.

Please send me an email at trorb@earthlink.net

Best,

This is a good way to spend an hour. The tracks flow into each other, but the overall effect is one that works, and that stands up to repeated listens. I'm not sure what else this is like as I'm not hugely knowledgeable about the genre, but it's certainly worth a listen.

High level. Absolutely great melodies and complex-drums, but not becoming too much cerebral and brainy.

An intelligent composition of sounds, rhythmics and melodies, but always easy to listen, deep but direct to the mind.

Lovely to listen and re-listen.

...to what he does. This is amazing. From the very first second to the very last intelligent beat I felt like someone was talking to me, describing various things, sharing his soul. This is the meaning of the word "expression". This is how music is to be written.

With my eyes wide open and a childish smile on my face : Thank you!
