This album has a nostalgic feeling that reminds me of SNES game soundtracks. To give the music credit, the sound is more advanced than a SNES can achieve and is a little more diverse. The Daft Punk influence is obvious, but the sound could also be compared to artists like The Knife who take the best electronic sounds of primarily the 80's and make catchy and very listenable tunes in that style. The composition for the most part isn't very complex, though the layering of multiple melodies makes the tracks original and able to keep one's interest. For some reason I can't stop envisioning a top-down arcade shooter while listening.
