The ninth Auricular album, Zelfmoord (which is Dutch for "suicide", or so I've been told), is a follow-up/remastering of the darkest album previously, Truncatus Omnino.
The same type of story applies: the album tells the story of a deranged pedophile who rapes virgin girls. In this case, however, the story is more shown from the viewpoint of the girl, and more specifically a very young girl who experiences this more than once in her life before she is even 10. The album toward the end takes a turn back to the freak who did this to her, who ends up taking his own life. All is "told" through the droning soundscapes and lyric-less music.
This album is not for the weak and is meant to be extremely dark, very disturbing, and unsettling.
This album is the one i am searching for years!
It never crosses the line but stays interesting and dark. I like all the songs of the album so no special favorite here. No need to prelisten if you are into real dark atmosphere's wihout basslines!
powerful and seductive calming effects from a fantastic variety of sounds. I love the effect this music has on me!
