These cats can jam! Is OPRACHINA one of the top jazz acts in Italy?

There's a lot of variety on this album... from gentle folkish acoustic guitar, to real hard-blowing straight ahead jazz. Nice compositions mixed with free improvisation. And the playing is phenomenal! If you like jazz, you won't want to pass this up.

And hey, Massimo. Do you have some extra fingers or something? I got this visual while listening to your solo on Fat-Fast and all I could see was a blur!

This is undoubtedly perfectly carried out and highly skillful performance but still there's something that missing. I'm not sure what it is, maybe distinctiveness.

"The Jazz Farm" to me is an album of contemporary jazz in the bebop tradition with a lot of 70ies influences, and it's interesting that it reminds me mostly of those jazz guitarists in the vein of Ralph Towner (and his Oregon outfit), Pat Metheny and Bill Frisell.

Beautiful playing, nice compositions, indeed the major point of critizism is the sub-par miking of the saxophones, which stands out especially disturbing on the sax/guitar duet tunes like Porta D'Arce, Attimi and Le Fiabe da Brno.

I'm somewhat curious - is the band leader the guitarist or the sax player?

Because I don't know the system of jamendo, I have to write my question here: The noted licence on Jamendo is
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/
the licence in the notepad in the bittorent folder is
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/it/
so what is the correct licence?

I really liked it. Easy listening jazzy tracks... But not that so easy that kills jazz. Well done!

This is one of the best albums on Jamendo. Not a big Jazz fan myself but I've played this a few times now. I love it. You deserve a better cover design though!
